Our school and school form

Our school is a vocational school. The school prepares and trains students for their working lives. Additionally it is a College of Further Education for those who have learnt a profession and now want to get a high school degree.

The main field in educational job training is construction.

On 01.08.1990 our school became a unesco school.
We work together with other schools in the world. With them we communicate about peace, environment and so on. Therefore we have two twin schools, one of them is in Poznan in Poland and the other one is in Mlalo in the Usambara Mountains in Tanzania.

Furthermore there are a lot of offerings for different vocational courses of education. For example our class: we attend the Berufsoberschule Technik ( BOT ). At the end of the BOT we can get our high school diploma. After that we all can study about any subject we want, even medicine and philosophy. The students who want to enrol in the BOT must have an accomplished job training and must have passed the College of Further Education.

We go to school 30 hours a week and after school we have to do a lot of homework. Our school is from Monday till Friday. Our school starts at eight o’clock in the morning and ends at three o’clock in the afternoon. We have no lunch break at midday, our recreation lasts always twenty minutes - after one and a half hours of lesson. On our timetable you find maths, German, English, Spanish, politics, economics, religion and technology.

For many subjects we have to do a lot of papers.
